In January-April Azerbaijan produced over 16.65 million tons of oil and condensate, which is 4.9 percent more compared to the figure in January-April of 2009, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan said.
The main part of oil production in January-April fell to Azerbaijan International Operating Company, which produced 13.9 million tons of oil and condensate at the block of fields "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" (ACG) and gas condensate field Shah Deniz. This figure is 6 percent more than similar figure of 2009.
Gas production in January-April in Azerbaijan amounted to about 8.75 billion cubic meters, which is 9.3 percent more than the same period of 2009. Some 3.7 billion cubic meters of gas fell to the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" and the "Shah Deniz" field. This figure is 6.9 percent less than in January-April of 2009
In January-April Azerbaijan produced about 6.87 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, which is 8.5 percent less compared to the same period of 2009.
