The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic SOCAR) will conclude the work within a project to establish an ecological park on the areas of H.Z.Tagiyev Oil and Gas Production Department, SOCAR Vice-President for Ecology Soltan Aliyev said. The park will cover 9.3 hectares.
The work under the project continues and the company plans to strengthen it, he said.
Aliyev said the company intends to provide power fleet by alternative energy sources.
The park will not use so much energy, but the share of alternative sources of consumption will amount to roughly 20-25 percent during the initial stage. A special section for exotic plants and new trees and flowers will also be built at the park. The park will also include a special greenhouse for 50,000 seedlings.
The initial designed capacity is planned to be achieved in the first phase of the project. The use of alternative energy sources is scheduled for expansion under the second phase of the project.
