Shimal power plant in Azerbaijan generated over 1.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-October this year compared to the projected about 1.88 billion kilowatt-hours, "Azerenergy" (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) said.
In October the power plant generated about 167 million kilowatt-hours or 2.4 million kilowatt-hours more than the projected figure.
Within preparation for the winter season repair works are scheduled on the gas turbine . Also, works are being carried out to prepare for the construction of a second gas turbine with capacity of 400 megawatts. The construction area is cleared of old buildings and units.
