The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will increase the number of filling stations in Georgia up to 100 by late 2011, a source in SOCAR Energy Georgia, which is SOCAR's subsidiary in Georgia, said.
"The number of filling stations will hit 100 this year," a source said. Their number hits 67 now".
He said that construction of some new stations has been launched. Opening of most filing stations will fall to the second part of the year.
SOCAR Energy Georgia co-founders are: SOCAR - 51 percent, Petro-Trans FZCO - 24.5 percent and Ivan Chkhartishvili - 24.5 percent.
SOCAR has some filing stations in Baku. Their number will hit 26-30 in the future. The company opens filling stations in Ukraine and operates to open the stations in Romania.
