The volume of drilling in Kazakhstan hit 210,000 meters in January and February compared to about 188,000 meters during the same period last year, the Central Dispatching Department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told to Trend on Wednesday.
According to information, the volume of exploratory drilling in January and February hit more than 44,300 meters compared to 19,430 meters during the same period last year.
In February 2011 the total volume of drilling operations in the country, with plans of reaching more than 126,700 meters, hit about 100,340 meters, including the volume of exploratory drilling - about 22,500 linear meters as compared to the planned 29,860 linear meters.
