SOCAR plans to double number of filling stations in Ukraine

SOCAR will commission about 12 additional filling stations in Ukraine in the near future, a SOCAR source told Trend on Thursday.

The spokesperson said that the new stations are planned to be opened in the Kiev and Lviv regions. At present, about 15 SOCAR filling stations operate in Ukraine.

SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in the country having two refineries and also owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania. It has recently bought a large network of filling stations in Switzerland.

SOCAR is also co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim. The company carries out oil trade in various regions of the world uncder the banner of SOCAR Trading.

The company also includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and the Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
