The total production of polyethylene is projected at 156.7 million tons in Azerbaijan in 2013. This is stated in the Azerbaijani draft state budget for 2013 and the next three years, submitted to the Azerbaijani Parliament.
According to the draft state budget, the polyethylene production will hit 171,900 tons in 2014, 168,000 tons in 2015, 147,800 tons in 2016.
It is predicted that Azerbaijan plans to start polypropylene production in 2015.
