Kazakhstan’s KazTransOil JSC Groups has completed the construction of a bridge to the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline, Trend reports with reference to the KazTransOil (KTO).

The first launch complex of the Kenkiyak-Atyrau oil pipeline reverse project was put into operation at the Oil Pumping Station named after N. Shmanov.

Reverse project is one of the stages of construction and development of the Kazakhstan-China oil pipeline system.

The Kenkiyak-Atyrau pipeline is currently used to supply crude oil in the western direction. After the reverse project is completed, West Kazakhstan fields will be connected with the country's refineries and export routes.

“As part of the first launch complex, the construction of a two-line bridge from the N. Shmanov Oil Refinery Station to the Kenkiyak-Atyrau Oil Pipeline has been completed, as well as the reconstruction of the linear part of the pipeline. Putting the facility into operation will increase the monthly volume of oil pumping in the reverse direction, and also ensure stable supply of the country's refineries and export of Kazakhstan's oil to China,” the report said.

KazTransOil is Kazakhstan’s largest oil pipeline company, which provides services on oil transportation on the domestic market and for export.

The company is an owner of the largest network of main oil pipelines and waterlines in the country, total length of which amounts to 5,376 km of oil pipelines and 1,975 km of water pipeline.
