The volume of imports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Russia to Ukraine by the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR for 6 days in June amounted to 100 tons, Trend reports with reference to Ukrainian media.
LPG imports from Russia to Ukraine tripled and amounted to 10,700 tons, with 1,000 tons accounting for Rosneft. Around 900 tons were delivered to Katma Group (part of the BRSM-Nafta group) and 100 tons to SOCAR Energy Ukraine.
The import of the Kazakh LPG decreased by 30 percent and stood at 8,000 tons.
Import from Belarus remained unchanged from the previous month and amounted to 5,200 tons.
LPG supplies across the western border amounted to 3,100 tons, falling by 19 percent. The major part of this volume was supplied from Lithuania (1,100 tons).
Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR’s representative office opened in Ukraine in 2008.
The company acquired about 20 Tala-Nafta filling stations in Odessa and Nikolaev regions. as well as Svitanok large oil depot in Odessa region in 2009.
The company took control of the fuelling networks ONIO (four filling stations in Kyiv and the region) and GFC (in Lviv region) in 2010-2011. SOCAR received permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine to purchase 26 filling stations and one tank farm of the Kalina group in August 2012.
