It will be possible to conduct the voluntary energy audit in Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to the bill.
This issue has been outlined in the new bill "On the efficient use of energy resources and energy efficiency".
Following the bill, the purpose of the energy audit is to reveal opportunities for improving energy efficiency and energy conservation, the volume of energy losses and emissions into the environment, as well as cost-effective energy efficiency measures that must be implemented.
The energy audit is carried out voluntarily and a report on the results of the audit is submitted to the customer of the energy audit.
In accordance with Article 6.3, the list of economic entities and non-residential premises subject to mandatory energy audit, regardless of organizational and legal forms and forms of ownership, is approved by a body (institution) determined by the relevant executive power, on the basis of criteria determined by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive power.
