Iran's Sangan Mining Industries Company (SMIC) is planning to establish more power plants to compensate for electricity blackounts during summer months, the company's CEO Ali Amraie told Trend.
Referring to the reduction of steel production due to frequent power outages in the summer, Amraie said the company faced a significant increase in electricity tariffs in the current Iranian year.
He added that the government was supposed to allocate quotas to compensate for the electricity outages, but so far nothing has been allocated.
He announced that the Sangan Mining Industries Company (SMIC) is considering strategies to supply electricity through the construction of a new power plant.
Sangan Mining Industries Co. (SMIC) is one of the subsidiary companies of Mobarakeh Steel Co. (MSC).
