BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 26. The electricity generation of Iran's Bistoon Thermal Power Plant increased by 6 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Executive Director of Bistoon Power Generation Management Company Masoud Mirza Asghari said, Trend reports citing Iranian Energy Ministry.
Within 9 months, the thermal power plant generated more than 2.85 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, according to the director.
“Meanwhile, in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022) alone, the Bistoon TPP generated 246 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, of which over 223 million kilowatt-hours were supplied to the country's electricity network,” Mirza Asghari added.
The power generation capacity of the Bistoon Thermal Power Plant in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) is 640 megawatt-hours.
