TAP discloses gas flow nominations for interconnections

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG consortium has publicly disclosed gas flow nominations for its interconnections, Trend reports.

Kipoi interconnection in Greece is scheduled to receive 356,851,047 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of gas on April 23. Simultaneously, the Komotini interconnection has recorded entry and exit nominations of 13,592,000 kWh and 28,670,675 kWh, respectively, while the Nea Mesimvria interconnection has an exit nomination of 37,626,301 kWh.

Additionally, the Melendugno interconnection has reported gas entry and exit nominations of 5,280,000 kWh and 307,426,071 kWh, respectively, for April 23.

As a vital component of the Southern Gas Corridor in Europe, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline plays a crucial role in enhancing the continent's energy security, fostering the diversification of energy sources, and supporting the transition towards decarbonization.

With annual transportation capacity of approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas, the pipeline also holds the potential for capacity expansion to 20 billion cubic meters. TAP's provision of a reliable source of natural gas significantly contributes to ensuring Europe's access to a new and sustainable energy resource.
