Azerbaijan increments gas production in 7M2024

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Azerbaijan totally produced 29.5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas from January through July 2024, with a year-on-year increase of 1.3 bcm, Trend reports.

Data from the country's Energy Ministry shows that of this volume, 7.7 bcm accounted for the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block, 16.5 bcm - the Shah Deniz field, 900 million cubic meters - the Absheron field, and 4.4 bcm - the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

Since the commissioning of ACG and Shah Deniz until August 1, 2024, 641.4 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 449.5 bcm of gas have been extracted.

Of this volume, 594.4 million tons of oil and 224 bcm of gas accounted for ACG.

About 225.5 bcm of gas and nearly 47 million tons of condensate accounted for Shah Deniz.

Up to now, approximately 639.5 million tons of oil (including condensate) and about 160.7 bcm of gas were exported from ACG and Shah Deniz.

To note, Azerbaijan produced 48.49 billion bcm of natural gas in 2023.
