Representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the operating Company Salyan Oil engaging in works on the onshore oil field Kyursangi-Garabaghli are expected to hold a meeting of the technical committee, the company told Trend today on September 14. The company pointed out that the parties are about to discuss the program for the next year during the forthcoming meeting.
It is proposed that totally 8 wells will be drilled on the contract area in 2006. Four wells are expected to be production ones, two ones will be used for water injection to the bed, one well will be exploratory, and the last one appraisal one. The volume of expected investments to the project will made cup about $50 m. The drilling works will be carried out by China`s drilling contractor Great Wall.
