Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / At the end of July or beginning of August ВР Azerbaijan intends to send the topsides of the drilling platform with living quarters and technical supplies required for drilling in the Deepwater Gunashli field. Afterwards in September drilling of pre-drilling wells will be set up on this part of the Gunashli field.
In September there are also plans to send the topsides of compression stations for the platforms, technological survey, technical provision and water pumping to the Deepwater Gunashli field.
Oil production will commence in Deepwater Gunashli field in May 2008. Until then four wells will be prepared in this field.
By end the end of 2007 the overall construction work under the Azeri project Deepwater Gunashli field will be complete.
Three fields - Azeri, Chirag and Deepwater Gunashli fields are developed under the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli project developed by BP.
