BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. The largest amount of loans issued in Azerbaijan as of April 1, 2023, fell on households (57.2 percent of total lending), Trend reports.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), in the reporting period, loans granted to households grew by 2.7 billion manat ($1.6 billion), or 26.72 percent year on year, from 9.9 billion manat ($5.8 billion) to 12.6 billion manat ($7.4 billion).

Meanwhile, lending to trade and services increased by 296.2 million manat ($174.2 million) or 9.4 percent in a year, reaching 3.4 billion manat ($2 billion) against 3.15 billion manat ($1.81 billion). The share of the field of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 15.7 percent.
