BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. Azerbaijan allocated 123.8 million manat ($72.8) from its reserve funds from January through September this year.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan shows that 41.5 million manat ($24.4) were drawn from the President's reserve fund, of which 31.3 million manat ($18.4) were financed by relevant institutions based on submitted requests.
The funds supported a variety of initiatives, such as the significant road repairs in Sumgayit, Azerbaijan, the activities of Karabakh University, the financial support of religious organizations, the organization of the "Global Summit of Religious Leaders" in Baku, and other projects.
Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers ordered the allocation of 82.3 million manat ($48.4) from the state budget's reserve fund, with relevant institutions financing 58.6 million manat ($34.4) based on their requests.
The funds will facilitate the commencement of construction for Azerbaijan's national pavilion at the "Osaka, Kansai Expo 2025," set to take place in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 through October 13 next year.
The funds will also assist in building residential complexes in the Azerbaijani cities of Barda, Goranboy, and Masalli, finalize restoration and construction efforts for facilities affected by Armenian military aggression, acquire medical equipment and specialized vehicles, secure a dependable power supply for key strategic locations, and carry out other initiatives.
