Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 Dec / Trend corr. S.Babayeva/ "The
financial crisis did not affect investing in the field of communication and information
technologies of Azerbaijan," Deputy Minister for Communication and IT of
Azerbaijan Elmir Valizade said at a meeting with Caspian Integration Business
Club on 10 Dec.
"The scope of information technologies is as attractive for investors as before
and is estimated by big companies as having great potential for development," said
Valizade.
According to the State Statistical Committee, AZN 132.4mln was invested in the
area of communication and IT of Azerbaijan in January to October (up 29.2% than
in the same period of 2007) and is 1.8% percent of the total investment in the
country's economy.
