Azerbaijan ranks 99th in for Internet traffic world pace

Azerbaijan ranks 120th in the world for incoming Internet traffic speed in Ookla's Net Index rating, created using a Speedtest service.
Results were based on experimental research conducted March 2-31. Some 98,748 unique IP addresses were selected for testing.
According to the net index rating, the average rate of incoming Internet traffic in Azerbaijan is 2.09 megabytes per second (Mbps).
The rating reflects the results of the statistical indicators of Azerbaijan's 20 Internet service providers and communication operators in whose networks the maximum rate of incoming traffic hits was 8.41 Mbps, while the minimum rate was 0.40 Mbps (in the Azercell Telekom's network) during the research period.
According to the rating on outgoing traffic Azerbaijan ranks 99th, where users go online at a rate of 0.99 Mbps.
The rating on outgoing traffic reflects the results of the statistical indicators of Azerbaijan's 20 Internet service providers and communication operators according to whose networks the maximum rate of outgoing traffic hits was 7.54 Mbps (in Azerbaijan education network AzEduNet), while minimum hits were at 0.11 Mbps (in the Azercell Telekom's network) during the research period.
