The Intel Corporation is ready to share its practice in construction and use of supercomputers with Azerbaijan, Intel Corporation Press Officer in Russia and CIS countries Mikhail Rybakov told Trend.
"We believe that the solutions we offer for the super-clusters and data centers, differ in its high efficiency and they are quite power efficient, and we hope that Intel processors are of interest for high-efficient systems in Azerbaijan," Rybakov said.

The cooperation in this sphere, according to western military and political doctrine, is the foundation of the strategic security of countries. The company has extensive experience in this sphere and, according to the latest TOP-500 rating of leading supercomputers in the world, about 80 percent of high-efficient solutions are built based on Intel products.
At present, the Azerbaijan Communications and IT Ministry is working on the project to create a supercomputer center, which is estimated at $10-12 million. The center, equipped with a supercomputer, will be created under the "E-Azerbaijan" state program.

Azerbaijan has already studied the international experience in this sphere, and today work is underway to prepare a feasibility study of the center and funding sources for the project implementation are being defined. The ministry held meetings with international high-tech systems producers to select the best proposal.
