Iran discloses volume of oil, non-oil products loaded and unloaded in ports

A total of 34.4 million tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021), said Ravanbakhsh Behzadian, director general of the department on port issues of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The director general noted that in addition, more than 63 million tons of non-oil products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports over the reporting period.

Behzadian added that there are currently about 7.1 million tons of goods in Iranian ports. About 4 million tons of these are essential products (wheat, barley, corn, soy, rice, sugar and vegetable oil).

“There are 4 million tons of goods in the Imam Khomeini port and 2.3 million tons in the Shahid Rajaee port,” he said.

As reported, a total of 10.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21 through 2020 to January 19, 2020). During this period, 6.32 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.55 million tons were unloaded.
