ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 24. Georgian Airways has launched a new cargo air route to Turkmenistan via China since July this year, Trend reports.
According to the information of the Turkmenabat International Airport, cargo flights will be operated on the route Tbilisi (Georgia) - Meilan (China) - Turkmenabat (Turkmenistan) - Tbilisi.
This new international freight transportation line will be an important step in strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia.
Meanwhile, the new route complements the existing cargo air service, which has been operated by another Georgian airline, Geosky Georgian International Airlines, since October 2023.
Their flights are operated on the route Tbilisi - Zhengzhou (China) - Turkmenabat - Zaragoza (Spain) - Tbilisi.
