Deputy Chairman of the Board of Corporate Development of Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas, Daniyar Berlibayev was appointed to the post of chairman of the board of directors of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production, a company report said on Friday.
The authority of the former board chairman Lyazzat Kiinov was terminated before the contract expiry date at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on July 9.
"At the board meeting held on July 10, 2013, Berlibayev was elected as chairman of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production", the company report said.
KazMunaiGas Exploration Production is among the top three oil producers in Kazakhstan. The company's production volume including shares in the following companies, JV Kazgermunai LLP, CCEL (Karazhanbasmunai JSC) and PetroKazakhstan Inc amounted to 12.2 million tons (247,000 bpd) in 2012. The volume of proven and probable reserves of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production at the end of 2011 amounted to 226 million tons (1.7 billion barrels) and some 2.1 billion barrels including shares in joint ventures.
Daniyar Berlibayev held the position of director general of Intergas Central Asia JSC from 2005 to 2007. Concurrently he was the first deputy general director of KazTransGas JSC. From 2007 to 2009 when he held the position of managing director for JSC NC KazMunaiGas gas projects.
From 2009 to 2011 he was the general director of JSC KazMunaiGas-Processing and Marketing and later director general of KazTransGas JSC. He has held the position of managing director of JSC NC KazMunaiGas gas projects. He is currently the first deputy chairman of the Board of Corporate Development of JSC NC KazMunaiGas.
