Kazakhstan names volume of soft loans to be issued to local farmers by year-end

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. Kazakh farmers received financing from the Agrarian Credit Corporation in the amount of over 330 billion Kazakh tenge ($704.2 million), since the year-start, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

This year, 13,000 agricultural producers and representatives of small businesses received soft loans from the Agrarian Credit Corporation. The borrowed funds were allocated for the development of livestock and crop production, the processing of agricultural products, and the opening or expansion of small businesses in rural areas.

As the Agrarian Credit Corporation noted, by the end of 2022, this figure will amount to 350 billion Kazakh tenge ($747 million).

Through preferential loans from the Agrarian Credit Corporation, Kazakh farmers were able to expand the land for sowing, and, thereby, increase the volume of fruit production.

Meanwhile, "ZHANA-KEMER QURYLYS" LLP has allocated preferential financing in the amount of 210 million Kazakh tenge ($448,233) for the purchase of special modern equipment for agricultural producers.
