BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 30. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agreed on the Roadmap for implementing investment agreements and trade contracts, signed in the framework of the Kazakh President’s visit to Uzbekistan, Trend reports, citing the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration.
The Roadmap was agreed upon by the Trade and Integration Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin and the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev.
The sides agreed on implementing 37 joint trade and investment projects in energy, pharmaceuticals, construction, and agriculture, among others.
Some of the most interesting projects include the manufacturing of “Chevrolet Onix” cars, household appliances, and the production of ceramic tiles in Kazakhstan.
The projects that will be carried out in Uzbekistan include the construction of a mineral production plant in the Navoiy and Tashkent regions of Uzbekistan.
Kazakhstan will also supply the fuel required by the three new coal thermal power plants, with a total capacity of up to 2 GW. The plants are being built in the Samarkand, Tashkent, and Fergana regions of Uzbekistan.
