ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 31. The National Bank of Kazakhstan has conducted a macroeconomic survey among professional market participants, research institutions, international organizations, and rating agencies, Trend reports.
According to the survey results, respondents estimate Kazakhstan's inflation rate will decline to 8.5 percent by 2024. To be clear, Kazakhstan's inflation rate at the end of 2023 was 9.8 percent.
At the same time, respondents predict that inflation will continue to fall year after year, reaching 6.8 percent by the end of 2025.
Moreover, researchers believe that by the end of 2026, inflation will have fallen to 6 percent.
Furthermore, inflation in Kazakhstan has reduced over the past year, reaching 9.8 percent in December 2023 (from 10.3 percent in November).
Prices for food products climbed by 8.5 percent (in November 2023, 9.2 percent), non-food products by 9.1 percent (in November 2023, 9.9 percent), and paid services by 12.4 percent.
Monthly inflation fell slightly to 0.8 percent (from one percent the previous month).
