ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 12. Kazakhstan's real GDP growth is projected to be 5.6 percent in 2025, Vice-Minister of National Economy Azamat Amrin said, Trend reports.
He spoke during a parliamentary meeting where the Ministry of National Economy presented its socio-economic development forecast for the country for 2025-2029 and the draft law on the guaranteed transfer from Kazakhstan's National Fund for 2025-2027.
The Vice Minister explained that the forecast is based on a baseline scenario with an oil price of $75 per barrel and a dollar exchange rate of 470 tenge ($0.98).
“The average annual GDP growth for 5 years will be at 5.4 percent. The nominal GDP will grow from 150.8 trillion tenge ($314.3 billion) in 2025 to 234.2 trillion tenge ($488.2 billion) in 2029,” Amrin said.
Meanwhile, the real growth of Kazakhstan's GDP was 3.3 percent in the first half of 2024, accelerating from 3.2 percent in the first five months of the year.
Improved dynamics were observed both in the production of goods (from 3.5 percent to 3.6 percent) and in the service sector (from 3.1 percent to 3.3 percent).
