Italian firms set their sights on investment in Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 19. Italian companies have expressed interest in undertaking projects in industrial engineering, transportation, logistics, and metallurgy in Kazakhstan, highlighting the country's attractive investment climate, Trend reports via the Kazakh Invest JSC.

This was made public after Altynai Mukanova, the investment company's overseas representative, met with the CEOs of major Italian corporations to seek potential investment cooperation.

Discussions included companies such as SAPIR Company, which specializes in cargo handling, Schnell Group, which manufactures machinery for rebar processing, and SCM Group S.P.A., which provides woodworking equipment.

Electromechanical component developer Hiteco, metal structure specialist Steelmec, casting manufacturer SCM Fonderie, and industrial installation automation specialist ES also participated in the discussions.

The representative of the investment company emphasized the importance of increasing foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan.

The National Company KAZAKH INVEST JSC, established by a decree of the President of Kazakhstan, works to facilitate the socio-economic development of the country by attracting foreign investments in priority economic sectors and supporting investment projects.

In 2018, the management rights of the company's shares were transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The company's goal is to become the leading agency for attracting investments in Central Asia and CIS countries.
