Kyrgyzstan asks the Arab world for technical assistance. The statement was voiced at the round table discussion with the Arab Coordination Group (ACG) in Bishkek on Wednesday, news agency "24.kg" reported.
As to Akylbek Japarov, the first Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, the republic introduces Islamic financing principles and halal standards but needs technical assistance for successful running of the process.
The first vice prime minister outlined that the Kyrgyz government looked for Arab countries assistance in training of Kyrgyz specialists in Islamic financing principles and establishment of a laboratory for checking of the Kyrgyz products' compliance with halal standards.
Japarov pointed similarity of the republic and the Arab countries. So, for example, the sales turnover of the republic exceeded GDP by 30 percent in 2008.
The ACG coordinates joint activity of the Islamic Development Bank, the Saudi Fund for Development, the OPEC Fund for International Development, the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development. The round table discussion will expectedly contribute to making business contacts with the reputable financial institutions of the Islamic world.
