Predicted volumes of the budget deficit of Kyrgyzstan are valid, the Principal of the Central Treasury Meder Temirbekov declared today at the press conference, 24.kg reported.
According to him, the budget deficit of Kyrgyzstan for 2011 was predicted at the level of 21 billion soms. On results of 7 months the deficit amounted to 1.7 billion soms. "We hope that the deficit will be much lower than the prognosis at 7.7 percent of GDP. In fact, this number is valid. It has been discussed with the experts of the IMF and other agencies, which considered this figure as acceptable. In Europe the budget deficit in some countries goes to 12-13 per cent of GDP. In our case this figure is not critical and will be covered by the expense of external concessional borrowing," the official stressed.
