Kyrgyzstan to print over 3 million ballot papers for presidential elections

Kyrgyzstan's Central Election Commission (CEC) takes decision to print 3 million 37.2 thousand ballot papers for presidential elections as it was voiced at the CEC's session, the 24.kg reported.

According to the CEC's member Ishenbay Kadyrbekov, total number of registered voters is 3 million 34,075. "If adding 0.1 percent of the total number of voters the additional number of people is 3,034. Thus, 3 million 37,109 voters all together," he said.

After short discussion it was decided to round off this figure to 3 million 37.2 thousand ballot papers.

The presidential elections will take place in Kyrgyzstan on Oct. 30 and will be the first after the change of power in April 2010.

The election campaign began on Sept. 25.
