The protesters left an area where they held a rally in front of Kyrgyz parliament, however, the Internal Ministry announced the activists' interception plan, CA-NEWS reported with reference to Interior Minister Zarilbek Risaliyev.
According to Risaliyev, currently all detained are testifying.
"Yesterday, when we spoke about the planned rally, there was an agreement that if there are provocations, MP Sadyr Japarov will take all the responsibility," Rysaliev said.
He also added that the rally had to last only one hour - from 11 AM to 12 AM. 400 police officers were involved to ensure the order.
The rally, organized by opposition took place on Wednesday in front of the Kyrgyz Parliament, Kyrtag reported.
The main demand of protesters is immediate nationalization of the gold mine "Kumtor". During the rally, deputy from the "Ata-Jurt" Kamchybek Tashiev urged the people to seize power in the country and to storm the parliament building.
