BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 31. Kyrgyzstan imported 8,729 trucks from January through August 2023, which is 2.3 times more than in the same period of 2022 (3,722 trucks), Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of the country indicates that the value of the imports amounted to $87.777 million, increasing 2.4 times compared to the same period in 2022 ($36.007 million).

At the same time, small number of trucks were imported from Russia (83 trucks), Poland (55 trucks), Sweden (52 trucks), Kazakhstan (36 trucks), Belarus (26 trucks), Netherlands (25 trucks) and other.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $9.407 billion from January through August 2023, which is an increase of 27.3 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Exports amounted to $1.85 billion, increasing 46.7 percent year-on-year. Imports reached $7.556 billion, growing by 23.3 percent compared to the same months in 2022.
