BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, June 10. Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 8.1 percent year-on-year from January through June 2024, Trend reports.
This was announced at a briefing by First Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Nazira Kerimalieva.
She stated that in the first half of this year, the gross
domestic product (GDP) volume reached 560 billion Kyrgyz soms
($6.55 billion).
In addition, it was observed that the growth was attributed to a
rise in the production of goods (28.8 percent), the provision of
services (51.7 percent), and tax revenues (19.5 percent).
Kerimalieva also mentioned that the volume of industrial production
in the specified period reached 237 billion soms ($3 billion).
In 2023, Kyrgyzstan's GDP reached an impressive 1.2 trillion soms
($13.4 billion), reflecting a notable 6.2 percent growth compared
to the previous year.
