BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 22. Kyrgyzstan produced around 146.7 thousand tons of crude oil from January through June 2024, which is a 0.4 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2023 (147.3 thousand tons), Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee reveals that the country produced 24.7 thousand tons of crude oil in June 2024 alone, which is a 4.6 percent decrease from the 25.9 thousand tons produced in June 2023.
In the broader field of Kyrgyzstan's mineral extraction sector, production reached a value of 27.827 billion soms ($328 million) from January through June 2024, a 19 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023. However, the volume of extraction output decreased by 3.7 percent compared to January-June 2023.
Additionally, the value of Kyrgyzstan's industrial production rose to 237.456 billion soms ($2.805 billion) from January through June 2024, a 10 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The physical volume of production grew by 1 percent compared to January-June 2023.
