BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 29. A ceramic brick factory has been launched in the Alamudun district of Kyrgyzstan's Chuy region, Trend reports.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, the factory produces 150,000 bricks daily and employs over 50 people. The capital investment for the project totaled $9 million, and the production area covers 8,000 square meters.

The project was implemented with the support of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF). The factory previously operated on a smaller scale. As demand for bricks increased, it sought government assistance. Funds were allocated by the RKDF, enabling the opening of a second production line.

The factory plans to export 20 percent of its products, with the remainder serving the local market. The new production line has doubled the factory's capacity. Additionally, modern environmental filters have been installed, reducing emissions by 95 percent.

Artem Novikov, head of the RKDF, noted that projects like this will soon make Kyrgyzstan independent of imports for many construction materials, fully meeting its needs.

"The fund is focused on implementing the Cabinet of Ministers' program for the reindustrialization of the economy. We hope our contribution to Kyrgyzstan's economy will continue to grow," he said.
