BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 27. Yunshen Mining (Yunnan) Co., a subsidiary of China Yunshen Group, will construct a mini-hydropower plant and a cement factory in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul region, Trend reports.

The agreement was signed during a meeting between the company’s delegation and the administration of the Tup district in the Issyk-Kul region, according to the regional administration.

It was noted that China Yunshen Mining is actively expanding its collaboration with Kyrgyzstan. Company representatives have engaged with various levels of the Kyrgyz government and business leaders.

The discussions covered investment opportunities across more than 50 projects, including: mineral resource development (coal, gold, antimony, quartz); hydropower projects (16 major and minor plants); solar and wind energy development; infrastructure projects, such as a toll bridge and a modern logistics center; industrial initiatives, including a cement factory and a tobacco factory; and cultural, tourism, and healthcare projects, including resort apartments at Issyk-Kul and a ski resort.

As part of its collaboration with the Kyrgyz government and the private sector, China Yunshen Mining plans to establish four wholly-owned subsidiaries:

Yun-Kyrgyz Energy Group: Focused on developing Kyrgyzstan’s energy resources, including coal-to-power conversion and integration with the national energy grid.

Yun-Kyrgyz Mining Development Group: A joint venture with a governmental mining company to explore mineral resources.

Yun-Kyrgyz Industrial Development Group: Aimed at building processing plants to increase the added value of mineral resources.

Yun-Kyrgyz Transportation Network Construction Group: To advance Kyrgyzstan’s transportation infrastructure through public-private partnerships (PPP) or build-operate-transfer (BOT) models.
