Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Nov.23 / Trend, D.Azizov/

State and prospects of development of Uzbek-Finnish dialogue were considered during regular ministerial political consultations held in Helsinki on Thursday, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The sides stressed that bilateral relations have a great potential for further development of multi-aspect cooperation.

Such areas as inter-parliamentary ties, trade and economic cooperation and investment interaction were considered as promising areas.

Uzbekistan is interested in joint projects with Finnish business for organizing production of modern telecommunications systems - chips, accessories for mobile communication systems.

In addition, business circles of Uzbekistan are interested in cooperation in the woodworking industry, where Finland takes a leading position traditionally.

The Uzbek side noted that good opportunities for cooperation opened in this area thanks to the establishment of Navoi Free Industrial Economic Zone and Angren special industrial zone, where investors are provided with tax and customs privileges.

Both sides exchanged views on cooperation in culture, science, education and health.

During the consultations diplomats considered international and regional issues in detail.
