The total portfolio of bank loans in Uzbekistan amounted to 324.1 trillion soums ($29.8 billion) in January 2022, Trend reports referring to the Uzbek Central Bank.
This indicator increased by 16.6 percent compared to the same period last year (277.7 trillion soums or $25.5 billion).
During this period, the loan portfolio of state-owned banks amounted to 277.5 trillion soums ($25.5 billion), and private banks - 46.6 trillion soums ($4.2 billion).
The volume of non-performing loans (NPL) for the corresponding period amounted to 17.4 trillion soums ($1.6 billion).
This figure increased by 2.3 times compared to the same period of 2021 (7.4 trillion soums or $688.3 million).
