BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 27. Uzbekistan’s textile exporters to Europe, Türkiye, Egypt, and Morocco will receive subsidies to offset 70 percent of transport costs, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
Uzbekistan plans to boost its exports of finished goods by $4 billion in 2023. In this regard, the current 9-step customs clearance procedure for exports will be relieved.
According to State Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan exported 532 types of textile products worth $2.8 million from January through November 2022.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan’s largest share of textile exports is accounted for by Russia - 41 percent, and Türkiye - 21.8 percent.
The statistics note that in the structure of textile exports, the main share is taken by cotton yarn (45.2 percent), as well as finished knitwear and garments (28.5 percent).
