TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 18. The trade turnover volume between Uzbekistan and Czechia reached $200.5 million from January through May 2024, Trend reports.
According to the data from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, this figure indicates a 38.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year ($144.5 million in January–May 2023).
Czechia made it into the top countries with the biggest foreign trade turnover volume in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan's exports to Czechia totaled $25 million, which is 44.5 percent more year-on-year ($17.3 million in January–May 2023).
The volume of imports from Czechia to Uzbekistan reached $175.5 million from January through May 2024. This figure has increased by 37.9 percent over the past the past year ($127.2 million in January–May 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $26.7 billion from January through May 2024. This figure indicates a 3 percent growth year-on-year ($25.9 billion in January–May 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports reached $10.8 billion, while imports totaled $15.9 billion during this period.
