TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 24. A Turkish Ore Mining Construction Trading Company will build a plant worth $30 million in Uzbekistan’s Pskent district, Trend reports.
According to the administration of the Tashkent region, the company held negotiations with the governor of Pskent district, Muzaffar Aripov, on investment projects in the territory of the district.
During the negotiations, the Turkish Ore Mining Construction Trading Company and Uzbekistan's Multinational Mining Group Ltd. signed a memorandum of cooperation for $30 million.
Meanwhile, Chinese Limaomaoli Metal Company LLC started construction of the Surenata mining complex in the Parkent district of Uzbekistan's Tashkent region.
The launch of the Surenata complex will allow for the production of 2.4 million tons of ore per year. The capacity of the complex is 1 million tons of iron ore concentrate per year.
Within the framework of the project, it is expected that $50 million will be invested in the iron ore project, which will eventually create 400–500 new jobs.
