TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 6. The foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Türkiye amounted to $1.9 billion from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this is 10.5 percent less compared to the same period in 2023, when the trade turnover stood at $2.1 billion.
Türkiye was among the top five leaders in terms of trade turnover among Uzbekistan's largest trading partners for the period.
Uzbekistan's exports to Türkiye amounted to $768.2 million, which is 25 percent less compared to last year ($960.9 million from January through August 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's imports from Türkiye reached $1.19 billion from January through August 2024. This figure increased by 0.8 percent compared to the same period last year ($1.18 billion from January through August 2023).
To note, the volume of Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $42.7 billion from January through August 2024. This indicator increased by 6.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($40 billion from January through August 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports from January through August 2024 reached $17.3 billion, while imports totaled $25.3 billion.
