TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 15. Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover with India reached $586.1 million from January through August 2024.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's Statistics Agency shows that this number has increased by 30.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($448.4 million from January through August 2023).

India has become one of the 15 largest trading partners of Uzbekistan in terms of trade turnover over the period.

Uzbekistan's exports to India totaled $75 million, which is 3.5 percent more compared to last year ($72.4 million from January through August 2023).

Moreover, Uzbekistan's imports from India reached $511.1 million from January through August 2024. This figure is a significant increase of 35.9 percent over the same period last year ($376 million in January-August 2023).

To note, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $42.7 billion from January through August 2024. This indicator increased by 6.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($40 billion in January-August 2023).

Uzbekistan's exports from January through August 2024 reached $17.3 billion, while imports reached $25.3 billion.
