TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 22. Uzbekistan's external trade turnover with China reached $9 billion from January through September 2024, marking a decline of 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year, when it totaled $9.4 billion.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan shows that China remains the leading trading partner for Uzbekistan during the reporting period.

Exports from Uzbekistan to China amounted to $1.5 billion, a decrease of 20 percent compared to the previous year, which saw exports of $1.8 billion from January through September 2023.

Imports from China into Uzbekistan reached $7.5 billion from January through September 2024, representing a 1.2 percent drop from the same period in the prior year, when imports totaled $7.5 billion.

To note, Uzbekistan's overall external trade turnover for the period was $48.2 billion, an increase of 7.7 percent compared to last year, which reported a turnover of $44.7 billion from January through September 2023.
