Iranian judiciary chief urges extended cooperation with S. Korea

Iran's Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani in a meeting with his South Korean counterpart Lee Yong-hoon stressed Tehran's eagerness to further expand judiciary cooperation with Seoul, Fars news agency reported.

During the meeting on Wednesday, Ayatollah Larijani referred to the commonalties between the two judiciary bodies, including usage of modern technologies, adding, "Tehran-Seoul relations are growing in political and economic fields, and if the two countries' judiciary cooperation, too, would grow accordingly the bilateral ties would be elevated to a higher level.

The Korean official, for his part, referred to Iran as a country with an ancient culture and civilization, arguing that the Iranian culture observed alterations with the entry of Islam into Iran.

He also expressed agreement with his Iranian counterpart that the two countries' judiciary forces can learn from each other's experiences and methods.
