Iran's IRENEX reveals its weekly sales

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. The volume of sales at the Iranian Energy Exchange increased by 113 percent for the last Iranian week (from June 8 through June 12, 2024) compared to the previous week (June 1 through June 5, 2024), Trend reports via Iran's Energy Exchange (IRENEX).

According to the information, the value of sales at the Iran Energy Exchange in the last Iranian week (June 8 through 12, 2024) amounted to about 98.8 trillion rials (about $260 million at the SANA exchange rate).

Furthermore, about 348,000 tons of oil, gas, and other energy products worth 87.2 trillion rials (about $229 million) were sold in Iran last week.

The report noted that last week, Iran's domestic division of the energy bourse traded products worth 18.2 trillion rials (about $48 million) and the international division traded products worth 68.9 trillion rials (about $181 million). The energy exchange traded mainly white oil, naphtha, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

A total of 5 million kilowatts of electricity worth 9.3 trillion rials (about $24.4 million at the SANA exchange rate) were sold during the mentioned week at the Energy Exchange.

The value of purchases and sales in other markets last week at the Energy Exchange amounted to 1.44 trillion rials (about $3.8 million at SANA's exchange rate).

To note, the sale of hydrocarbon products at the Iran Energy Exchange is of great importance to the country’s economy. Through the energy exchange, Iran seeks to provide hydrocarbon products needed by local companies as well as increase exports.
