Iran reveals quantity of goods brought into Bushehr Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The imports of non-oil products to Bushehr Province, located in southern Iran, increased by 16 percent in value and 22 percent in weight during six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through September 22, 2023), Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Customs Office Ali Soleimani told reporters, Trend reports.

According to him, a total of 382,000 tons of non-oil products worth $1.23 billion were imported to Bushehr Province during the six months.

“Various kinds of fabrics, auto parts, tires, bananas, and tea were imported to the province during the six months,” he noted.

The official emphasized that the products were mainly imported from the UAE, China, Philippines, India, Russia, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand.

Meanwhile, Iran imported non-oil products worth $32.6 billion during the mentioned period.

To note, Iran mainly focuses on importing products that are necessary for the country and imposes certain restrictions on imports of products manufactured in the country.
