BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 23. Iran's production of buses and minibuses during six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) decreased by 16 percent compared to the same period of last year (March 21 through September 22, 2023).
Iran produced a total of 659 buses and minibuses during the six-month period, according to data Trend obtained from the country's Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade. In the same period last year, the production of buses and minibuses in Iran amounted to 789 units.
Iran produced 416 buses in the last six months. This is 3 percent more than in the same period last year. In the same period last year, the country produced 402 buses.
Over the course of the six months, the country produced a total of 243 minibuses. Production of minibuses decreased by 37 percent compared to the same period last year. The country produced 387 minibuses during the same period last year.
However, the country produced 50 buses and minibuses during the sixth month of the current Iranian year (from August 22 through September 21, 2024). The production decreased by 61 percent compared to the same month of last year (from August 23 through September 22, 2023). The country produced 129 buses and minibuses during the same month last year.
Iran produced about 606,000 different types of automobiles during the six-month period. The production of various types of cars decreased by 5 percent compared to the same period last year.
